gah, trying to write and well... I sux.

Best friend's next chp is rather choppy and will need a major rewrite before being posted. ,( SPOILER ALERT )

The F/G fic I started today (at work shhhhh...) has become an original and it feels to me like I'm coping someone's style and not using my own.

BTW do I even have a style? I think I once did...but I'm afraid I've lost it in the sea of writing Bio's or maybe I never did and I've always copied other peoples style and that is why my work is rather mediocre once it is past it's middle point?

EDIT: THANK YOU LAIN for updating now I can read instead of writing. I mean really people whose stories I fallow please update so I can use my very limited free time to read instead of attempting to write. HELLO unjealous and Xanthofile...and all you others!

hopefully this will translate into updates. Though I'm having some compatibility issues with my back up drive which I'll figure out this weekend.

I've seen this used several times in fics "I was sat there..."

It just doesn't sound right to me, but I keep seeing over and over again in stories with good writers and beta's. Am I wrong and crazy?

To me and I will be looking this up it should be "I was sitting there..." being past progressive. If they wanted simple past tense shouldn't it just be "I sat there..."?

I'd love some input on this, mean while I'm going to be reading a grammar book I have, just to make sure. I know I'm no expert and that this post probably has a lot of mistakes, but that just doesn't sound right.

Have I mentioned I've been reading "heroin Diaries" by Nikki Sixx?

Very good book, I'm really liking it. I'm almost done with it, and I'm impressed because I haven't been able to finish a "diary" since Anne Frank's.

I was just reading some and I had to laugh, the antics!

They saw their managers bed in half

They fired what they thought to be a pellet gun and turned out to be a flare gun in their hotel room. Then ran scared to their managers room managing to look them selfs out of the room. So they had to go downstairs to get another key. So the hotel manager is going to open the room and Doc is trying to convince him everything is fine to just give him the key and then they open the door and the bed is on fire and a huge cloud of black smoke comes out of the room.

Nikki pured liquor all over what he thought was Fred's door and set in on fire than ran to his room to laugh. Turns out it wasn't Fred's room but some poor Chinese Dad with his son.

It's hard to remember all the things right now. I just keep laughing.

The amount of drugs they were doing is also amazing but I guess it explains the chaos. I'm surprised they survived the eighties and that they have half functioning brains.


On completely unrelated news I'm thinking about entering a children's book contest. First price is 500 dollars you have to write a story about a holiday for 4 year olds. I have a kid who once was four so I think I'll manage not that I think I'll win, but you don't know unless you try right?

if anything I've got the title "Not everyone celebrates Easter" I've got to do some research on different traditions. I know Carnaval is one of them, there is also the religious thing with ash wendsday and all that...Like I said I need to do research.

I'm not sure if I should do an around the world type thing or concentrate on Miami. Do it like for 3 or 4 different families whose kids go to the same pre-k and they each show each other how they celebrate. I might be mistaken but I think they make this special soup for that time of year in Ecuador and I can't for the life of me remember it uses all the grains that are grown and it comes from the indigenous people who made it to thank the gods for the harvest.

I would have an American kid, Probably 2 latin, 1 native american. I think that pretty much sums up Miami.

I need to start work on this.

I am surprised how many writers seem to have no back up of their work! How can you do that? I'd freak out about. I've lost things often enough to just shudder at the idea.

My flash drive got lost, so I keep my fics on the comp and I save them every so often in a cd, just to feel safe.

I can't imagine just writing something directly into a journal and keeping no back up, specially right into a community! At least cross post it!

Maybe I'm just a little closer to my work? (does that sound conceited?)

yesterday I went to show and I got kicked on the lip and my the ball on my lip ring flew out and my mouth was bleeding but not that bad really it isn't bruised or anything today. Also another stupid crowd surfer landed on my head they just threw him up in the air from the back and he hit me hard on the head, my vision went black and I still have a head ache from it.

 I HATE CROWD SURFERS, KEEP YOU FUCKING FEET ON THE FLOOR DON'T LAND ON MY FUCKING HEAD YOU WILL GET FUCKING HURT BY ME I WON'T PULL YOU UP IF YOU FALL (if your in the crowd not surfing and loose your balance I will help you up)

other than that I had a really good time. The show was amazing I met some guys from the band.

On other bad news about last night even though I told my sister in law that if her new bf was going I wasn't she still called me and asked me to buy him a ticket. I didn't feel like telling her again that I wasn't going if he went, but I said no to putting his ticket on my credit card. They still got him a ticket. When we got there he wouldn't let her in the pit and I spend the whole show alone. Which wasn't bad and I've done before, but what is the point of going with friends if they will just .. I guess ignore you.

Last concert he ruined the show by calling every 15 min to check on her. Then we couldn't stay after the show because he kept calling and wondering why the fuck we wanted to stay behind.

She said "No matter what I'm going to stay after the show at the next concert no matter what he says" Yeah fucking right. when there they both acted as though they were doing me a fucking favor for staying after the show. He wouldn't let her take pictures with the band and then started fighting because she took a pic of the base player.  I said we could go and they continued to fight they were yelling at each other I felt like shit. she was yelling at him that I  wanted to  stay after the show.

I was suppose to sleep at their house because the concert was like 10 min from their house and an hour from mine, but I called James to let him know I was out and he immediatly picked up something was wrong, so though he was tired he went to pick me up. The other too even threw the car keys at each other and started fighting because "I called to tell James they were fighting." I wasn't brought into the fight and they kept saying it wasn't because of me they were fighting but it sure fucking felt like it.

It was horrible, James asked me never to invite her to a show with me again.

I ate salchipapas first in almost 7 years now that I call a record...........so good

James shaved his head and now looks bigger and scarier, Andres hair is safe and sound still on his head.

Oh now real reason for post. Very soon I will be posting the next chp to Handbook. Now when writing Puddle of memories I came across a pic when I saw it I said OMG its JOSH!

Since I tend not to describe my characters much and prob never will I thought I'd share the pic and maybe one day the very long weird story that goes with it. Fun times....fun times...

I don't know who he is can't remember his real name and if I wanted to find the pic on the net again I wouldn't be able to (I've tried) if you know him or are him and don't want me to keep the pic let me know mean while here is Josh

this was a random nice post with other pics. But I decided I'd give the rich text thing a try. I regret it, I got a weird post with a bunch of random simbols and when I tried to edit it the explorer crashed and I lost it all.

I know have a fever my throat hurts even more and I'm just plain cranky!
